    30 new CloudFisher fog-harvesting nets with a surface area of 1,600 m²: In the spring of 2016, the Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) decided to sponsor the innovative fog-net project of the WaterFoundation in Ebenhausen. The CloudFisher is a new, optimised standard fog collector – a world first – which can revolutionise fog-net technology. >more

In aggregate, microinsurance providers in Africa generated a total of USD 756 million in microinsurance gross written premiums in 2014. 61.8 million people, or 5.4% of the total population was identified as being covered by some type of microinsurance product. >more

    The jungle is her fate. On Christmas Eve, 1971, a plane crashed into the Peruvian jungle. Ninety-one passengers died. The sole survivor was a girl named Juliane Koepcke - today Juliane Diller. Juliane is now a biologist and ecologist, and heads the Panguana Research Station in the Peruvian jungle. Nevertheless, water is still a scarce resource: only 1% of world's water is available as drinking water.
